Is there a product I can use to care for all my shoes?

There are indeed universal care products which can be used for multiple purposes. However, since each different types of leather requires its own individual kind of care, they depend on special products developed especially for the specific material.

Are self-polishing products good for shoes?

The silicone oils contained in Woly Cosy or Coxy Brillant Magique or in a Selfshine-Sponge (like Blitzglanz)give shoes a very shiny gloss which can be applied in no time at all. Hence Blitzglanz is good for taking along on trips. However, it is no substitute for thorough shoe care. Thus we recommend using a cream such as Coxy Aqua Stop, Woly Fashion Leather Cream or Salamander Wetter-Schutz from time to time in order to give your shoes the thorough care they need.

Can shoe care products also be used for leather furniture?

Our shoe care products contain active ingredients which are mild enough to be used on leather furniture. Woly Combi Proper, Salamander Kombi-Schaum or Coxy All Net are especially good for cleaning. Colorless creams such as Salamander Kombi-Color are recommended for nurturing the leather � colored products would run.

On what materials can I use waterproofing spray?

On all kinds of leather, whether smooth, rough, reptilian or synthetic, as well as on textiles. Do not use on patent leather, since the solvent could damage its surface.

Is the propellant in the aerosol sprays bad for the ozone layer?

The only propellant contained in our aerosols is a mixture of propane and butane, which decomposes in sunlight in a matter of a few days and does no harm whatever to the ozone layer.

Can you waterproof tents or sleeping bags with these waterproofing agents?

Waterproofing agents such as Salamander Universal SMS, Woly Protector 3x3 or Coxy Super Protector can also be used for tents, sleeping bags, gloves, umbrellas, etc. Since they do not seal the surfaces, they do not impair the ability of materials to breathe, which is especially important for sleeping bags. Waterproof a tent from the outside only; be sure to adhere to the instructions and observe all warnings.

What does the beeswax in shoe creams do?

Beeswax has a very soft consistency, but gives leather a gloss comparable to that produced by hard types of wax.
